Terriers Finish Seventh at Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Boston University golf team began its fall season with a seventh-place finish at the Bucknell Invitational this past weekend at Bucknell Golf Club.

BU, the defending champion, combined to shoot 955 over 54 holes. William & Mary won the 17-team tournament with a three-round score of 912. It was the first competition at a Patriot League school for a BU program as a conference member.

Junior Kristyna Pavlickova led the Terriers with a total of 231, including a final-round 74 in which she birdied three of her final four holes. Sophomore Emily Tillo fired 76 in both rounds on Saturday en route to a T-25 finish (237). Senior Christine Silen (245) finished tied for 37th while junior Flor Canedo tied for 44th with a score of 247. Freshman Adela Cejnarova carded a 250 in her collegiate debut to finish tied for 49th.

The Terriers sank 17 birdies on the weekend as part of their Fall Birdies Challenge. They will be back in action next weekend at the Dartmouth Invitational (Sept. 14-15).
