BOSTON - Mollie McKendrick notched her second consecutive double-double but it wasn't enough for the Boston University women's basketball team to overcome an early deficit, and the Terriers dropped a 67-55 decision to New Hampshire on Wednesday night at Case Gym.

This is the first time BU has lost a home contest this season and falls to a 3-4 record while the Wildcats improve to 4-2 on the year. The loss also ends a 13-game Terrier win streak in the series.

Meghan Green led the Terriers with 18 points while McKendrick contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Hope had a career-high seven assists, the most a BU player has had in a game all season.

Boston U. shot well overall, going 20-of-54 (37 percent) from the field but were halted at the three-point line, only sinking one from long range in 16 tries. UNH was hot from downtown, however, shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc, 41.3 percent overall.

Elizabeth Belanger led the Wildcats with 23 points and Ariel Gaston contributed a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards.

The first four minutes consisted of back-and-forth play but the Wildcats began to take charge of the contest, going on a 13-2 run over the next three minutes to take an 11 point lead. UNH steadily added to its advantage to reach its largest lead of the game, 15 points, with just over six minutes remaining in the first half.

The Terriers matched UNH's early efforts with a 13-3 run of their own to cut the lead to five points going into the locker room. Five different BU players contributed to the run, led by McKendrick who contributed the final four points to go into halftime with a 33-28 deficit.

BU fought hard throughout the second half, cutting the New Hampshire lead to as little as three points, but the Wildcats kept the pressure on and ultimately came away with a double-digit margin of victory, just the second time this season the Terriers have allowed an opponent to win by 10 or more points.

Boston University is back in action on Saturday when the squad travels to New Haven, Conn. for a matchup with Yale at 2 p.m.
