FULL RESULTS

Competing against openweight and lightweight crews from across the country, the women's lightweight rowing team continued its spring season this weekend at the Knecht Cup in West Windsor, N.J. The Terriers finished second in the women's lightweight grand final and second in the openweight petite final, good for an eight place finish overall.

After advancing through heat races and the semi finals on Saturday, the varsity eight boat, coxed by sophomore Allison Triola and stroked by junior Carol Chase Peterson, came within 1.6 seconds of winning the lightweight grand final on Sunday. The Terriers finished with a time of 6:54.88, just behind finals winner Princeton which finished with a time of 6:53.21.

The varsity eight boat also competed against openweight competition at the regatta and advance to the petite finals on Sunday where it finished in second place, good for an eighth place finish overall among openweight competition.

The second varsity eight boat also advanced to the openweight petite finals and finished fifth, or 11th overall. Coxed by Junior Anna Martin and stroked by classmate Brittany Murphy, the 2V8 boat finished with a time of 7:06.40, ahead of the openweight crew from West Virginia.

The freshman/novice boat, coxed by freshman Keela Sweeney and stroked by classmate Abby Pauley also advance all the way to the openweight freshman/novice grand finals, finishing sixth overall with a time of 7:30.93.
