Terriers Compete at Yale Intercollegiate

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Boston University golf team competed at the three-day Yale Intercollegiate this past weekend at the Course at Yale.

BU finished sixth in the field of 16 with a 54-hole score of 917, just one stroke behind fifth-place Penn. Yale finished first with a score of 887. The Terriers’ best round of the tournament was on Saturday when the team combined to card a 299. BU totaled a 311 on Friday and a 307 on Sunday.

Sophomore Adela Cejnarova was the top individual finisher for the Terriers, as she fired a second-round 72 in addition to a pair of 77s for a three-day total of 226, which tied her for 15th place. Freshman Phyllis Tang also produced three rounds below 80 and finished tied for 25th with a 230 (79-74-77).

Junior Emily Tillo battled back from a tough opening round to shoot 76 on Saturday and fire a team-low 73 on Sunday and finish 40th (233). Seniors Flor Canedo (79-77-80) and Kristyna Pavlickova (76-87-80) rounded out the BU contingent.

The Terriers will be back in action next weekend when they travel to the University of Iowa for the Diane Tommason Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event begins on Oct. 4.
