WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Junior Sarah Lefort of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Lefort was sensational in two games this past week, highlighted by her four-point performance at Providence on Saturday afternoon. She logged her fifth career hat trick against the Friars to help the Terriers skate away with a 6-1 victory. The Ormstown, Quebec, native also assisted on the game-winning goal against Northeastern in the Beanpot consolation game on Tuesday at Harvard.

Following her hat trick and assist on Monday night, Lefort is third in the league with 43 points and tied for third among Hockey East skaters with 22 goals. She has factored on nine game-winning goals this season and has recorded 14 points (7g, 7a) in her last seven games.
