WEDNESDAY'S GAME
• The Boston University women's lacrosse team heads to Yale for the day to take on the Bulldogs at 4 p.m. in Reese Stadium.
• One of their oldest rivals, BU has played Yale in each of the last 13 seasons.
TERRIER TIDBITS
• Mallory Collins had a career milestone against Navy, scoring her 100th point with a goal against the Mids. She is the only active player to have 100 points.
• Caroline Meegan is ranked 15th nationally and second in the Patriot League in save percentage, posting a .493 average this season. She has also stopped the most goals per game in the conference, 9.0, which places her 13th among all Division I goalies.
• Collins, the team's point and goal leader, averages 2.63 goals per game, the third-best average in the conference. Collins has netted five goals in a game on two occasions, the only player in the conference to achieve that performance twice.
• As a team, the Terriers have some of the best goaltending in the league. The Terriers average a Patriot League-leading 9.25 saves per game and a .493 save pct., the second-best mark in the conference and the 13th-best mark nationally.
• Junior Jill Horka reached a career milestone against Massachusetts, recording an assist to total 50 career points. She is one of 3 current players to have 50+ points.
• With their win over Siena, the Terriers are now 16-11-1 all-time in season openers and 5-2-0 when their first game of the year is away from Nickerson Field.
• After making it to the PL Championship Game last season, the Terriers were again picked to finish third in the conference this season. BU was a No. 3 seed in the tournament with the 3rd-best regular season record (5-3).
• 2014 All-Patriot League First Team honoree Horka, who led BU last season with 29 goals and was second on the team with 35 points, was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team. In addition to her offensive output, Horka led BU with 46 draw controls and 24 caused turnovers in 2014.
• Senior Lindsay Weiner, a 2014 All-League Second Team selection, was named a captain along with classmate Siobhan McCarthy. Weiner was last year's point and assist leader, totaling 42 points including 20 assists, the only Terrier to reach double-digit helpers last season.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
• Yale is 4-5 so far this year and enters Wednesday's game coming off of a two-loss week, losing to Denver, 9-6 and Columbia, 5-3.
• As a team, the Bulldogs score 8.22 goals per game while allowing 8.44 goals in each contest.
• Nationally, Yale sticks out for its defense, ranking 22nd in scoring defense (8.44) and 29th in save percentage (.469)
• Kerri Fleishhacker leads the team with 13 goals and has 20 total points while Erin Magnunson leads the team with 20 points (11g, 9a).
• Senior goalie Erin Mullins has spent the most time in net for Yale and owns a 7.63 goals against average and .500 save percentage, which ranks 15th and ninth in the nation, respectively.
BU VS. YALE
• Wednesday will be the 19th meeting between the two squads. Their rivalry dates back to 1984 when the schools met for the first time.
• The Bulldogs lead the all-time series with an 11-7 mark but BU has won the last four straight games including a 6-5 victory at home last season.
• Yale and BU have faced each other in each of the last 13 years and in that span, BU leads the series 7-6.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Terriers, who were coming off a hard-fought victory at Holy Cross, ran out of steam against Navy on Saturday and dropped an 11-8 decision at home.
• BU brought the game within two goals with just under eight minutes to play but couldn't pull off the comeback and settled for its first Patriot League loss of the year.
• Remy Nolan and Ally Adams each recorded hat tricks while Mallory Collins scored her 100th career point with her second-half strike.
• Caroline Meegan had an impressive showing, making 13 saves (two shy of her career high) including four free position stops.
