JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Junior David Lagerberg competed at the opening day of the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships, held at the University of North Florida on Thursday.

Lagerberg, making his NCAA debut, ran the 400m dash in a time of 47.62 seconds. He qualified for the meet with his title-winning time of 46.90 seconds at the Patriot League Championships.

Despite not advancing to Friday's quarterfinal, Lagerberg will compete on Saturday as part of the Terriers' 4x100m relay team. That event will kick off the evening's schedule at 6:15 p.m. On Friday, sophomore Cameron Williams will run the 200m dash at 8:25 p.m., and senior Nikolaos Farmakidis will compete in the pole vault at 4:30 p.m.
