A strong second half by the Bucknell women's basketball team thwarted BU's early efforts and the Terriers suffered a 74-56 loss to the Bison on Saturday evening at Sojka Pavilion.
With the win, Bucknell (14-5, 8-0 PL) stays perfect in conference play while the Terriers (1-18, 1-7 PL) continue their search for their second win of the season.
Meghan Green led BU with 18 points while the Bison were led by Claire DeBoer and Jacquie Klotz, who scored 21 points each.
The Terriers shot 37.3 percent (19-51) from the field while the Bison went 44.4 percent (28-63) overall. BU had success from long-range, finishing 6-for-17 while Bucknell went 5-for-19 from beyond the arc.
BU led following the first quarter and kept the score close for most of the second period but Bucknell went on a 13-0 run over the final three minutes of the first half to gain an 11-point lead which BU would not be able to overcome.
The Terriers have a week to prepare for their next game, which is scheduled for Jan. 30 at Lehigh. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. and will be aired live on the Patriot League Network.
