The Boston University women's ice hockey team will face New Hampshire in a home-and-home series this weekend that will begin Saturday at Walter Brown Arena. Puck drop on Saturday set for 3 p.m., while the teams will skate at New Hampshire on Sunday at 2 p.m.

BU (17-11-2, 14-4-2 WHEA) is looking to snap a two-game losing streak after a 5-3 loss against Harvard in Tuesday's Beanpot consolation game. The Terriers have been strong of late in league play, however, as they are 4-0-1 in their last five Hockey East games.

This weekend's matchup could be a preview of a Hockey East quarterfinal series in two weeks. The Wildcats are in fifth entering this weekend while the Terriers are in third place. Tickets for that quarterfinal series are on sale now, and fans can click here for more information.

BU and New Hampshire (10-19-1, 7-13-0) met in Durham on Nov. 1, and the Terriers skated away with a 5-3 victory. Freshman Sammy Davis scored two goals while her linemates that day, sophomore Victoria Bach and senior captain Kayla Tutino, each had a goal and two assists. Junior Maddie Elia also lit the lamp that day.

Davis and Elia both scored their 13th goals of the season on Tuesday against Harvard to move into a tie with senior Rebecca Russo for second on the squad in that category. Sophomore Victoria Bach remains the team leader with 17 goals while classmate Rebecca Leslie recorded her team-best 31st assist of the season against the Crimson.

Senior Sarah Lefort is 10 goals away from 100 and needs just four more points to set a new program record for career points. Lefort enters the weekend with 178 points, just three behind Marie-Philip Poulin's record of 181 points.

New Hampshire enters Saturday having lost three straight games, including a sweep at the hands of Vermont last weekend at home. Junior Jonna Curtis leads the Wildcats in goals (14), assists (15) and points (29), though she was held without a point in both games against the Catamounts last weekend.

Sophomore Amy Boucher has 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists while four other Wildcats have at least 10 points, including senior Sara Carlson, who also has 11 assists. Freshman goaltender Kyra Smith has played in 21 games, going 9-11-1 with a 2.72 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage.

Just two weekends remain for the Terriers before the Hockey East playoffs. Following this two-game set with UNH, BU will conclude the regular-season with a home-and-home series against Northeastern. Senior Night will be Friday at 7 p.m.
