SUNDAY'S FULL RACE SCHEDULE

The No. 2 Boston University women's lightweight rowing team will race at the 42nd annual EAWRC Sprints Championships on Sunday in Worcester, Mass. The Terriers will send out three boats to the prestigious competition on Lake Quinsigamond.

The first race of the day for BU will be the third varsity eight grand final race at 1:40 p.m. with the Terriers battling old foes Harvard and Wisconsin. Next up will be the BU 2V racing in the grand final against Wisconsin, Harvard and Princeton.

The Terriers' No. 2 ranked varsity eight boat, the highest ranked boat in the regatta's lightweight competition, will then race in the 1V grand final at 2 p.m.

"After a relatively slow start to the spring racing season, this team has shown a high level of depth, tenacity and grit," said head women's lightweight rowing coach Malcolm Doldron. "We are prepared for a challenge on Sunday in all three events. We expect to see the best racing effort out of our competitors and our competitors should expect the same out of us."

The Terriers' 1V has already beaten many of the top crews they will face on Sunday earlier this season. BU defeated Harvard and Wisconsin at the Lightweight Beanpot on April 17th and defeated Princeton at the San Diego Classic on April 3rd.

In addition to individual medals, the lightweights will also be competing for the overall team points championship, the Konrad Ulbrich Lightweight Points Trophy.

At last year's Sprints, the varsity eight boat won a silver medal and the 2V won gold. Overall, the BU lightweights finished fourth in team points with 39.8. Harvard won the Ulbrich Trophy with 54.3 points, followed by Wisconsin (47.7) and Princeton (40.7).

After Sunday's competition, the Terriers will be off until June 3rd when they compete in the three-day IRA National Championship Regatta in Mercer, N.J.
