BOSTON—The Boston University women's soccer team was unable to overcome a two-goal deficit and dropped a 2-0 decision to Hofstra on Thursday night at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both BU and Hofstra put two attempts on goal during the first half but the Pride outshot the Terriers, 13-4, throughout the period.
- It took just over two minutes into the second half for Hofstra to break open scoring and take a 1-0 lead. The Pride then followed up the goal with another midway though the period.
- The Terriers turned on the offense throughout the second half, putting seven shots on net and getting off 12 total attempts.

- The Terriers were outshot by the Pride, 20-16, throughout the match but Hofstra's shots on goal were limited to just five while the Terriers put nine on net.
- In her first career start, Hannah Ciolek made a career-high three saves.
- This is the Pride's first-ever win over the Terriers in the tenth meeting between the schools.
