BOSTON – After honoring 10 seniors, the Boston University men's soccer team will resume Patriot League play by hosting Navy on Saturday with a 5 p.m. start time.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the Senior Day ceremony, as the first 100 will receive a free BU soccer mug.

SENIOR CLASS TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU is currently tied-for-first in the PL with Loyola Maryland at 12 points, while Lehigh sits in third at 10 points. 
  • BU is 2-2-1 at home this season with wins against Holy Cross (3-0) and Harvard (1-0) ... The Terriers fell to Loyola Maryland, 2-1, last Saturday at Nickerson Field.
  • The Terriers are 3-1-1 over the last five games but have allowed a combined three goals in the last two contests after earning three straight shutout wins.
  • Sophomore Matt McDonnell tallied his team-leading fourth goal of the season on Tuesday in the 1-1 draw at Northeastern and now leads with nine points, two ahead of freshman Toti Knutsson (2g,3a) and three ahead of sophomore Mana Chavali (2g,2a).
  • Kammholz made his first-career start at net on Tuesday against Northeastern and finished with a personal-best five saves ... Sophomore Michael Bernardi has started all five PL games and owns a 1.29 goals against average with a 0.722 save percentage.
SCOUTING NAVY
  • The Midshipmen are on a four-game winless streak following a 0-0 draw against Army West Point and three-straight losses to Loyola Maryland (2-0), American (3-2 OT) and Lehigh (1-0) ... They own home wins this season against James Madison (3-1) and Saint Joseph's (3-0).
  • Navy is 0-3-2 in conference play with draws against the Black Knights and Holy Cross (1-1).
  • Daniel Zaremba owns a team-high seven points (3g,1a), one ahead of Aubrey Jones, who also has three goals this year ... T.J. Powers leads Navy with four of the Mids' nine assists.
  • Goalkeeper Mac Burke leads the PL and ranks 19th in the NCAA in saves per game (4.85) while posting a 1.39 GAA and 0.768 save percentage.
  • Opponents are out-shooting Navy on average per game, 15.8-9.9, with a 65-39 advantage in corner kicks.
SERIES HISTORY
  • The Terriers lead the all-time series, 3-1-0, with the lone loss occurring at Navy (1-0) in 2013.
  • BU clinched a spot in the Patriot League tournament last year by edging the Mids, 1-0, at home with junior Nicki Wieners scoring the game winner in the 74th minute.
  • The Terriers also won at home in 2014 by an identical score despite Navy finishing ahead in shots, 24-5 ... Last year, BU posted a 23-11 advantage in attempts
