Women's Soccer Ready for Challenge at Navy

BOSTON - Riding a five-game shutout streak, the Boston University women's soccer team will stay on the road as it heads to Navy for an 8 p.m. match on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Honor Roll

  • Jesse Shreck earned her first weekly honor from the Patriot League as she was named the Midfielder of the Week on Monday.
  • Shreck netted the game-winning goal at Lafayette, striking a ball from 25 yards out that lofted into the back of the net before assisting on BU's second goal of the contest.
  • The Lido Beach, N.Y. native also assisted on the game-winning goal against Holy Cross.

  • Behind goals from Jesse Shreck, Anna Heilferty, Shannon Keefe and a dominant performance from the back line, BU earned its fifth straight shutout in a 3-0 decision at Lafayette on Sunday.

Scouting The Mids
  • Navy boasts the top record in the Patriot League with at 11-3-0 overall and holds a 4-0-0 conference mark.
  • The Mids picked up their seventh straight win after a 2-0 blanking of Lehigh on Saturday.
  • Junior forward Ash Falrow was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, while sophomore netminder Sydney Forston took home Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
  • Falrow leads the NCAA with six game-winning goals and ranks second in the Patriot League with nine goals.
  • Junior Elanor Pratt leads the league with nine goals and is tied for 11th amongst NCAA leaders.
