KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -
The Boston University golf team opened its spring season at the Kiawah Island Classic this past weekend.

BU finished tied for 31st in the 43-team field with a 54-hole score of 938. The Terriers opened with a 324 on Sunday before combining for their weekend-low score of 306 on Monday. BU closed with a 308 during Tuesday's final round.

All five Terriers carded a score in the 70s on Monday, with three of those golfers achieving the same feat on Tuesday. Freshman Zhangcheng Guo was one of those three, and she had the Terriers' best score of the weekend at 233 (83-74-76). Senior Adela Cejnarova was one stroke behind Guo at 234 (80-78-76) while freshman Abby Parsons totaled a 236 (85-77-74). Parsons and Guo's 74s were the lowest individual round by a Terrier over the weekend.

Sophomore Megan Carter carded a 238 (79-77-82) and was the only BU golfer to record a score of 79 or better in each of the first two rounds. Junior Phyllis Tang recorded a 243 (82-78-83) to round out the team total while freshman Saeros Oskarsdottir, playing as an individual, carded a 277 (92-95-90).

BU will return to competition on March 13 and 14 at the 54-hole Fresno State Classic.
