BOSTON • The Boston University women's lacrosse team will look for its second straight win at Nickerson Field as it welcomes Dartmouth on Wednesday, March 1 for a 3 p.m. matchup.

SECOND HALF STRONG

• BU outscored UMass Lowell 7-1 in the second half to run away with a 12-7 victory in its Nickerson Field opener on Saturday.
• Avery Donahoe notched her second straight four-point game with two goals and two assists.
• Winning the draw control proved to be a difference maker in the second half. UMass Lowell won eight of 12 decision in the opening half before the Terriers dominated with a 7-2 advantage in the second stanza.
• BU also dominated ground balls in the second half, scooping up 12 to UMass Lowell's five.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN

• Dartmouth is undefeated to start the season, amassing a 3-0 record after wins against UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Binghamton.
• The Big Green owns a 14-6 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 1986.
• Cara DePippo and Courtney Weisse have each roped a team-best 10 goals and have 13 points.
• Kierra Sweeney is the top assist provider with four and ranks second with six scores.
• Kiera Vrindten owns an 8.24 goals against average and a .621 save percentage.

MEEGAN EARNS PRESEASON HONORS

• Senior goalkeeper Caroline Meegan was named to the Patriot League Preseason All-League Team.
• A Second Team All-Patriot League selection last year, Meegan posted a Patriot League-best .520 save percentage and a league-high 9.73 saves per game in 2016.
• Meegan's 146 saves were the second most in the conference and she finished the year with a goals-against average of 9.21.

TERRIERS TABBED TO FINISH FOURTH IN PL
•
BU was picked by the league's coaches and sports information directors to finish fourth in the annual Patriot League preseason poll.
• The Terriers earned 123 points, just one behind third-place Lehigh. Loyola Maryland (162 points) received all 18 possible first-place votes, with Navy (141) earning the other two top nods.
• BU has finished in the top four of the regular-season standings and advanced to the Patriot League championship weekend in each of its first three seasons in the conference .

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAINS
•
The Terriers will be led by three senior captains in 2017.
• Charlotte Castronovo, Taylor Hardison and Janelle Macone were all named captains.
• All three players have been successful on the field, in the classroom and in the community during their time at BU.
• Castronovo started every game at defense last season, causing 12 turnovers and collecting 16 ground balls.
• Hardison was an Academic All-Patriot League and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection for the second straight season, finishing the year with a team-high 36 assists.
• Macone was a Second Team All-Patriot League defender in 2016 after she secured 11 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers.

RETURN OF THE ATTACK

• Two of the Terriers' top three point producers from a year ago are back, as senior Taylor Hardison and junior Mickenzie Larivee will lead the Terrier attack.
• Hardison was 10th in the nation in assists per game (2.0 apg) and led the Terriers with 36 helpers. She was also second on the squad with 42 points.
• Larivee was third on the Terriers with 41 points thanks to 34 goals and seven assists.

TERRIERS ON THE WORLD STAGE

• BU will be well-represented at the 2017 FIL World Cup in England this summer.
• Current junior Sarah Andersen will be playing for Israel while head coach Liz Robertshaw is once again an assistant coach with Team USA.
• Former Terrier standout Caitlin Defliese ('10) will be an assistant coach for Canada.

BUT THIS GOES TO 11

• Head coach Liz Robertshaw is in her 11th season at the helm of the women's lacrosse program.
• She will be in search of her fifth conference title in 2017 and in the process will look to advance to the Patriot League semifinals for a fourth consecutive season.
• Robertshaw won her 100th game last season and enters the season with 109 career victories, all of which came at BU.

NEW AND FAMILIAR FACES ON THE STAFF

• The Terriers will have two new members of the coaching staff, though one will be familiar to Terrier fans.
• Jessica Antelmi is in her first season with the Terriers after spending the last two years at LeMoyne College, where she helped lead the Dolphins to two straight national semifinal appearances and coached the 2015 Division II Attacker of the Year.
• In addition, former Terrier standout Elizabeth Morse has joined the staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
• Morse played from 2011-14 at BU, competing in 67 games.

CHALLENGING SCHEDULE AWAITS BU

• Following the season opener at No. 13/17 BC, the Terriers will play two more teams ranked in the top 20 of at least one preseason poll.
• All three contests will be on the road.
• BU will also face No. 3/3 USC on March 5 and Loyola Maryland on March 25.
• The Terriers' Patriot League schedule will begin on March 18 at Bucknell.
