The Boston University women's ice hockey team will face off against Harvard in the consolation game of the 39th annual Women's Beanpot on Tuesday night at Northeastern's Matthews Arena.

This is a rematch of last year's Beanpot consolation game, which Harvard (3-17-4) came back to win, 5-3, at Walter Brown Arena. BU (13-10-5) did defeat the Crimson earlier this year, however, earning a 4-3 overtime win in Cambridge on Nov. 22. Harvard has won seven of the eight Beanpot games it has played against BU, with the one Terrier win coming in the opening round of the 2012 tournament.

The Terrier trio of former Harvard standout Mary Parker and juniors Victoria Bach and Nina Rodgers was too much for the Crimson to handle in November. Bach (1g, 2a) finished with three points while Rodgers (2a) and Parker (2g) totaled two points apiece. Junior defenseman Savannah Newton had a career high three assists in the win, including a helper on Bach's overtime-winning strike.

Senior Maddie Elia, who scored in last Tuesday's heartbreaking loss (3-2) to Boston College, is three points shy of 100 for her career. She has tallied a point in each of the last two games since returning to the lineup on Jan. 28. Her impact on the offensive end has been immense, as she has generated a team-high 11 shots on goal over the last two tilts.

Harvard is winless in its last six games (0-4-2), though it most recently tied No. 3 Clarkson, 2-2, on Saturday a day after playing No. 5 St. Lawrence tough in a 2-1 loss. Junior Lexie Laing leads the Crimson in points (14) and assists while senior Sydney Daniels has scored a team-high eight goals. Three different netminders have started each of the last three games for Harvard, with senior Molly Tissenbaum (.918 Sv%, 2.78 GAA) playing in the Beanpot opener against Northeastern (4-1 L), senior Brianna Laing (.918 Sv%, 2.34 GAA) facing St. Lawrence and freshman Beth Larcomb (.916 Sv%, 2.83 GAA) making just her fifth career start against Clarkson.

Following Tuesday's tilt, BU will turn its attention to a tight race in the Hockey East standings when the Terriers begin a home-and-home series with New Hampshire in Durham on Feb. 10.
