Coming off a win at Lafayette, the Boston University women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts American at Case Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
BU (8-14, 6-5 PL) will look to continue their winning ways after winning at Lafayette, 75-58 on Saturday while American (11-11, 8-3 PL) is on a three-game win streak after defeating Lehigh, 70-58, on Saturday.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Five Terriers reached double figures in scoring en route to a 75-58 victory at Lafayette on Saturday.
  • Sophomore Naiyah Thompson led the Terriers with 17 points, matching a career high, while freshman Vanessa Edgehill scored a career-best 11 points.
  • BU shot 70 percent in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Leopards, 25-14, in the final 10 minutes to pull away with the win.
  • Junior Corrine Williams scored 12 points and led BU with six rebounds while senior Courtney Latham paced BU with seven assists.

LAST TIME AGAINST AMERICAN

  • Junior Sophie Beaudry scored a career-high 27 points and BU got within four late in the third quarter, but American escaped with a 73-62 home win on Jan. 11.
  • Junior Corrine Williams poured in 11 points and added eight rebounds while senior Sarah Hope scored 10 points.
  • BU shot 50 percent from the floor.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES

  • American is 11-11 overall but 8-3 in the Patriot League and currently on a three-game win streak.
  • The Eagles most recently beat Lehigh, 70-58, on Saturday.
  • Three players average double figures in scoring, led by Emily Kinneston (12.6 ppg).
  • Maria Liddane leads the PL in assists with an average of 5.0 per game.
  • Lauren Crisler is second in field goal percentage (.519) and averages 10.6 points per game.
