BOSTON - Following winning its Patriot League opener, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will resume conference action on Saturday, March 25 at Loyola Maryland. Opening draw from the Ridley Athletic Complex is slated for 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

After an 0-6 start, Loyola has taken its past two games by four-goal margins against Navy and Georgetown.
Loyola is a perfect 26-0 in Patriot League games and is 6-0 in the tournament.
Cami Whiteford leads the team in goals (18), assists (7) and points (25).
Hannah Powers follows with 16 goals and six assists for 22 points.
Katy Glynn has started all but one game in net for Loyola, and owns a .468 save percentage and a 12.37 goals against average.

LAST TIME OUT

Behind a career-high four goals from freshman Mackenzie Howe, BU cruised to a 13-8 victory in its Patriot League opener Sunday at Bucknell.
BU earned its fifth straight win over the Bison and improved to 4-0 in Patriot League openers.
Howe posted a career-best four scores, the most a Terrier has scored in a game this season, after registering one goal over her first five games.

BETWEEN THE PIPES

Caroline Meegan leads the NCAA with 11.86 saves per game.
• The senior leads the Patriot League with a .509 save percentage and has 83 total stops.
• Meegan stopped a career-high 17 shots in the season opener at BC Feb. 15.

PILING UP POINTS

Kailey Conry and Mickenzie Larivee lead the team with four-game point streaks.
• Conry has 16 points during the stretch, while Larivee has 10.
Nine of Larivee's 10 points during her streak have come from goals, and she has five multi-goal games on the year.

STEPPING IN

Conry had accounted for 16 points over the last four games since entering the starting lineup.
She leads the team with 17 points and 14 assists.
She posted a career-high five assists against Fairfield March 15, with four of those coming in the second half before scoring the game-winning goal in overtime.
 Six other freshman in the nation have posted five-assist games this season.
• The Needham, Massachusetts native has dealt at least three assists in each of the past four games.

STICKING TO IT

Talley Perkins ranks second on the team with 11 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. 
Maria Guerra leads the team with 10 caused turnovers and has caused at least one in all but one game.

IN THE CLEAR

• BU went a perfect 22-for-22 on clear attempts at Bucknell, marking the first time it converted on all of its clear attempts since going 12-for-12 against Lehigh April 4, 2014.

STARTING STRONG

• BU is 4-0 in Patriot League openers and 11-1 in conference openers under head coach Liz Robertshaw.

MEEGAN EARNS PRESEASON HONORS

Caroline Meegan was named to the Patriot League Preseason All-League Team.
• A Second Team All-Patriot League selection last year, Meegan posted a Patriot League-best .520 save percentage and a league-high 9.73 saves per game in 2016.
• Meegan's 146 saves were the second most in the conference and she finished the year with a goals-against average of 9.21.

TERRIERS TABBED TO FINISH FOURTH IN PL

• BU was picked by the league's coaches and sports information directors to finish fourth in the annual Patriot League preseason poll.
• The Terriers earned 123 points, just one behind third-place Lehigh. Loyola Maryland (162 points) received all 18 possible first-place votes, with Navy (141) earning the other two top nods.
• BU has finished in the top four of the regular-season standings and advanced to the Patriot League championship weekend in each of its first three seasons in the conference.

OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAINS

• The Terriers will be led by three senior captains in 2017.
Charlotte Castronovo, Taylor Hardison and Janelle Macone were all named captains.
• All three players have been successful on the field, in the classroom and in the community during their time at BU.
• Castronovo started every game at defense last season, causing 12 turnovers and collecting 16 ground balls.
• Hardison was an Academic All-Patriot League and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection for the second straight season, finishing the year with a team-high 36 assists.
• Macone was a Second Team All-Patriot League defender in 2016 after she secured 11 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers.

RETURN OF THE ATTACK

• Two of the Terriers' top three point producers from a year ago are back, as senior Taylor Hardison and junior Mickenzie Larivee will lead the Terrier attack.
• Hardison was 10th in the nation in assists per game (2.0 apg) and led the Terriers with 36 helpers. She was also second on the squad with 42 points.
• Larivee was third on the Terriers with 41 points thanks to 34 goals and seven assists.

TERRIERS ON THE WORLD STAGE

• BU will be well-represented at the 2017 FIL World Cup in England this summer.
• Current junior Sarah Andersen will be playing for Israel while head coach Liz Robertshaw is once again an assistant coach with Team USA.
• Former Terrier standout Caitlin Defliese ('10) will be an assistant coach for Canada.

BUT THIS GOES TO 11

• Head coach Liz Robertshaw is in her 11th season at the helm of the women's lacrosse program.
• She will be in search of her fifth conference title in 2017 and in the process will look to advance to the Patriot League semifinals for a fourth consecutive season.
• Robertshaw won her 100th game last season and enters the season with 109 career victories, all of which came at BU.

UP NEXT

• BU will return to Nickerson Field for a midweek test with Colgate on Wednesday, March 29.
• Opening draw is set for 5 p.m.
