BOSTON - The Boston University women's lacrosse team will look for its fourth straight win at Nickerson Field as it welcomes Navy on Saturday, April 15 for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
LAX-A-PALOOZA
• Saturday will be the second annual Lax-A-Palooza doubleheader with the BU men's team as they start the day with a key Patriot League game against Loyola at noon. Festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. and will feature a cash bar, free barbeque and a number of guests, including Brine, Warrior, Raising Cane's, The Boston Cannons, Student Activities Office, BU Class Gift, who will have giveaways and more throughout the day.
• There will be a scavenger hunt promoted as "Rhett Lost his Bones" prior to the women's game, open to fans of all ages. More than 100 bones will be scattered in Nickerson Field's stands, concourse and grotto area and can be redeemed for a number of prizes, including gift cards, BU Lacrosse gear and more from Brine, Warrior and Raising Cane's.
• Saturday also marks the team's One Love game and Alumni Day. BU Lacrosse alumni are welcomed back to Nickerson Field for their spring alumni game, and will be recognized during halftime.
• The women's game will have an exclusive BU Lacrosse trucker hat giveaway for the first 200 fans.
SCOUTING THE MIDS
• Navy has won four of its last five to stand at 9-4 overall and 4-1 in Patriot League games.
• Jenna Collins leads the Mids in goals (38), points (58) and ground balls (27).
• Collins earned her third PL Midfielder of the Week honors on Monday.
• Twin sister Julia Collins ranks third on the team in goals (32), assists (22) and points (47).
• Kelly Larkin is the top assist provider with 26 and ranks second in goals (32) and points (58).
• Larkin earned PL Rookie of the Week honors for the seventh time this season on Monday.
• Blake Smith leads the defensive front with 24 caused turnovers and has scooped up 25 ground balls.
• Ingrid Boyum has started all 13 games in net and owns a 9.63 goals against average and .371 save percentage.
THE SERIES
• Navy has taken the last three matchups to hold the 3-2 edge in the all-time series.
• Both of BU's wins came in one-goal decisions.
• The Mids ended BU's season in the 2016 Patriot League Championship semifinals, sinking the Terriers 10-7.
ATTACKER OF THE WEEK
• Avery Donahoe was honored as the Patriot League Attacker of the Week after notching career highs in goals (6) and points (7) against Lafayette.
• Donahoe's six scores marked the most a Terrier has scored in a single game since Danielle Etrasco scored seven at Vermont April 6, 2013.
LAST TIME OUT
• BU registered its highest offensive output of the season as it won at 20-16 shootout over Lafayette on Saturday.
• Along with Donahoe's six scores, Caroline Meegan also marked a career-high with 18 saves.
• The Terriers improved to 4-0 in the all-time series against the Leopards.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
• Caroline Meegan ranks second in the NCAA with 12.18 saves per game.
• The senior leads the Patriot League with a .506 save percentage, which ranks 10th nationally.
• She also leads the team with 21 ground balls and has posted double-digit saves in seven of 11 games this season.
PILING UP POINTS
• Kailey Conry and Mickenzie Larivee lead the team with eight-game point streaks.
• Conry has 31 points over the past seven games, with 27 of those coming on assists.
• 19 of Larivee's 20 points during her streak have come from goals, and she has eight multi-goal games on the year.
CROSS EXAMINATION
• Elisabeth Jayne leads the team with 23 goals and has scored in all but one game this season.
• The senior has accounted for seven multi-goal games, including four hat tricks, and owns a .742 shot on goal percentage.
• Prior to starting every game this season, Jayne had played in six games over her career.
STEPPING IN
• Conry has accounted for 31 points over the last eight games since entering the starting lineup.
• She leads the team in points (32) and assists (27).
• Conry leads the league with 2.70 assists per game, which ranks ninth nationally.
• The Needham, Massachusetts native has dealt at least three assists in each of the past eight games.
STEADFAST SENIOR
• Taylor Hardison has been having another stellar year on the attack as she is second on the team in points (30), assists (19) and ranks third in ground balls (15).
• As a junior, she led the team in assists (36) and ranked second in points (42).
STICKING TO IT
• Talley Perkins leads the team in caused turnovers (16) and ranks second in ground balls (17).
• Perkins caused a career-high four turnovers against Lafayette.
• Maria Guerra ranks second with 14 caused turnovers and has caused at least one in all but two games.
OFFENSE STARTING TO CLICK
• The Terriers have registered double-digit scoring figures the past six games.
• Prior to that stretch, BU was held to under eight goals for three straight games.
• The Terriers have also been more aggressive on the attacking end, firing off at least 30 shots in the past six games.
• BU fired off a season-high 49 shots against Lafayette.
UPPERCLASSMEN LEADING THE WAY
• Seniors Elisabeth Jayne and Taylor Hardison have combined for 57 points, while juniors Avery Donahoe and Mickenzie Larivee have combined for 49
• The four upperclassmen have combined for 106 of BU's 196 points.
