BOSTON -Â The Boston University women's lacrosse team will open up a three-game road swing at Holy Cross for a Turnpike Trophy matchup on Wednesday, April 19. Opening draw is set for 7:05 p.m.
PATRIOT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT PICTURE
• Loyola, Navy and Lafayette have each claimed a berth in the PL tournament.
• Bucknell and Lehigh, both at 4-2 in league games, can each clinch with a win or a loss apiece from Colgate, Holy Cross and American.
• For BU to clinch on Wednesday, it needs to win and a loss apiece from Colgate, Holy Cross and American.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
• Kailey Conry was named the PL Rookie of the Week after a five-assist performance against Navy on Saturday.
• Conry matched a season-high in assists, with two of those coming on game-tying goals, and also scooped up a ground ball.
• Along with leading the Patriot League with 2.67 assists per game, she is also atop the charts with 32 total.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
• Caroline Meegan leads the NCAA with 12.33 saves per game.
• The senior leads the Patriot League with a .500 save percentage, which ranks 10th nationally.
• She also leads the team with 22 ground balls and has posted double-digit saves in eight games this season.
PILING UP POINTS
• Kailey Conry and Mickenzie Larivee lead the team with nine-game point streaks.
• Conry has 36 points over the past nine games, with 32 of those coming on assists.
• 23 of Larivee's 24 points during her streak have come from goals, and she has nine multi-goal games on the year.
CROSS EXAMINATION
• Elisabeth Jayne and Mickenzie Larivee are tied for the team lead in goals (25).
• Jayne has accounted for eight multi-goal games, including four hat tricks, and owns a .739 shot on goal percentage.
• Prior to starting every game this season, Jayne had played in six games over her career.
STEPPING IN
• Conry has accounted for 36 points over the last nine games since entering the starting lineup.
• She leads the team in points (37) and assists (32).
• Conry ranks No. 7 in the NCAA and leads all freshmen with 2.67 assists per game.
• The Needham, Massachusetts native has dealt at least three assists in each of the past nine games.
STEADFAST SENIOR
• Taylor Hardison has been having another stellar year on the attack as she is second on the team in points (34), assists (21) and ranks third in ground balls (15).
• As a junior, she led the team in assists (36) and ranked second in points (42).
STICKING TO IT
• Talley Perkins leads the team in caused turnovers (17) and ranks second in ground balls (20).
• Perkins has caused five turnovers over the past two games.
• Maria Guerra ranks second with 14 caused turnovers and has caused at least one in all but three games.
UPPERCLASSMEN LEADING THE WAY
• Seniors Elisabeth Jayne and Taylor Hardison have combined for 63 points, while juniors Avery Donahoe and Mickenzie Larivee have combined for 55.
• The four upperclassmen have combined for 118 of BU's 220 points.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
• Currently riding a three-game winless streak, Holy Cross enters Wednesday's clash with a 6-8 mark and is 1-5 in Patriot League games.
• The Crusaders lone PL win came in a 12-9 decision over Army.
• Tess MacKay, Mary Patalita and Maddie Ward are all tied for the team lead in points with 29.
• MacKay is the top goal scorer with 27, while Ward is tied with Maggie Moriarty for the team lead in assists with eight.
• Anna Johnson leads the team in draw controls (45), caused turnovers (25) and is tied with Julia Maloney for the lead in ground balls (32).
• In net, Julia Maloney has started all 14 games, posting a .416 save percentage and an 11.56 goals against average.
THE SERIES
• BU has dominated Holy Cross in the all-time series, holding a 9-1 command.
• The Terriers have a six-game win streak dating back to 1997.
• In Patriot League play, BU is 3-0, though two of the three games have been decided by two goals or less.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Terriers fell in the final minute to Navy, 15-14, Saturday afternoon.
• Avery Donahoe gave BU the lead with 3:09 remaining, but Navy scored back-to-back goals to clinch a spot in the PL tournament.
• Caroline Meegan posted 14 saves in net, while Mickenzie Larivee lead the Terriers with four goals.
ON THE ROAD
• BU has posted two straight seasons winning at least four games on the road.
• Three of BU's final regular season games will be away from Nickerson Field.
• If BU wins its three final regular season road games, it would mark the first time the Terriers have won four or more games on the road since 2010-12.
