HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Crusaders capitalized on early turnovers by the Terriers to take an early 2-0 advantage just under five minutes into play.
- Kailey Conry beat the Crusaders' keeper for back-to-back scores, reducing the deficit to 3-2 with 22:37 left in the opening half.
- However, the Terrier attack would stall as the Crusaders reeled off a 3-0 run over the next 14 minutes to stake a 6-2 command.
- Larivee snapped an 18-minute scoring drought for the Terriers with her 26th score off a dish from Conry, as the freshman tabbed her 40th point of the season, and Taylor Hardison scored right before the half to make it a 6-4 game.
- Just 26 seconds into the second stanza, BU's attack stayed red-hot as Elisabeth Jayne found the back of the net through heavy traffic and Mackenzie Howe followed by working her way from the wing before darting one past the keeper to knot the score at 6-6 with 17:27 remaining.
- Larivee furthered BU's run to 5-0 as she scored through a plethora of defenders, giving BU its first lead with 16:09 left in the game.
- Holy Cross tied the game up briefly, but Hardison broke the stalemate 20 seconds later with her second score of the game.
- Trying to keep its postseason hopes alive, Holy Cross delivered back-to-back goals, taking the lead at 9-8 with 7:53 left.
- Once again, BU answered under pressure as Kelly Mathews tied it up at 9-9 on BU's first free position conversion of the game with just under seven minutes before Larivee would registered the game-winning goal shortly after.
