BOSTON -Â Following clinching a spot in the Patriot League tournament, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will remain on the road as it visits Army on Saturday, April 22. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
PATRIOT LEAGUE TOURNAMENT PICTURE
• Loyola, Navy, Lehigh, Lafayette, Bucknell and BU will make up the six-team Patriot League tournament.
• BU will fight for seeding over the next two games as it is currently in the sixth spot.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
• Kailey Conry was named the PL Rookie of the Week after a five-assist performance against Navy on Saturday.
• Conry matched a season-high in assists, with two of those coming on game-tying goals, and also scooped up a ground ball.
• Along with leading the Patriot League with 2.69 assists per game, she is also atop the charts with 35 total.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
• Caroline Meegan leads the NCAA with 12.31 saves per game.
• The senior leads the Patriot League with a .508 save percentage, which ranks ninth nationally.
• She also leads the team with 28 ground balls and has posted double-digit saves in nine games this season.
PILING UP POINTS
• Kailey Conry and Mickenzie Larivee lead the team with 10-game point streaks.
• Conry has 41 points over the past 10 games, with 35 of those coming on assists.
• 26 of Larivee's 27 points during her streak have come from goals, and she has 10 multi-goal games on the year.
• Larivee has caught fire down the stretch, scorching 12 goals over the past four games, netting at least a hat trick in each.
CROSS EXAMINATION
• Elisabeth Jayne ranks second on the team with 26 goals.
• Jayne has accounted for eight multi-goal games, including four hat tricks, and owns a .720 shot on goal percentage.
• Prior to starting every game this season, Jayne had played in six games over her career.
STEPPING IN
• Conry has accounted for 41 points over the last nine games since entering the starting lineup.
• She leads the team in points (42) and assists (35).
• Conry is tied for No. 5 in the NCAA and leads all freshmen with 2.69 assists per game.
• The Needham, Massachusetts native has dealt at least three assists in each of the past 10 games.
STEADFAST SENIOR
• Taylor Hardison has been having another stellar year on the attack as she is second on the team in points (38), assists (23) and is tied for second in ground balls (20).
• As a junior, she led the team in assists (36) and ranked second in points (42).
STICKING TO IT
• Talley Perkins leads the team in caused turnovers (17) and ranks is tied for second with Hardison in ground balls (20).
• Perkins has caused five turnovers over the past three games.
• Maria Guerra ranks second with 16 caused turnovers and has caused at least one in all but three games.
UPPERCLASSMEN LEADING THE WAY
• Seniors Elisabeth Jayne and Taylor Hardison have combined for 68 points, while juniors Avery Donahoe and Mickenzie Larivee have combined for 59.
• The four upperclassmen have combined for 127 of BU's 237 points.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
• Army picked up its first Patriot League on Wednesday, taking down Colgate 11-9.
• The Black Knights snapped a nine-game losing streak to bring their record to 5-10 overall and 1-6 in conference games.
• Rahel Hornick and Manuela Cortes pace Army's attack, as Hornick leads the team in points (48) with 37 goals and 11 assists, while Cortes leads the team in goals (39) and ranks second in points (44).
• 12 of Cortes' 39 goals have come on free position shots.
• Maddie Burns is the primary netminder with a 10.70 goals against average and .405 save percentage.
• She also holds the team lead in ground balls (34).
• Shelby Lindsay has caused 20 turnovers and has collected 18 ground balls.
• On the draw, Amy Johnston has picked up 56, while Samantha Stewart follows with 50.
THE SERIES
• Army posted a 5-12 record and went 0-9 in Patriot League games in its inagural season in 2016.
• BU dominated the Black Knights in the first matchup, taking the game 14-3 and outshot Army 31-14.
LAST TIME OUT
• Mickenzie Larivee scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with under three minutes to play to lead BU past Holy Cross, 10-9, Wednesday night.
• Larivee was named the Turnpike Trophy MVP for her three-goal effort.
• Caroline Meegan finished with 12 saves on the night and led the team with six ground balls.
ON THE ROAD
• BU has posted two straight seasons winning at least four games on the road.
• Two of BU's final regular season games will be away from Nickerson Field.
• If BU wins its two final regular season road games, it would mark the first time the Terriers have won four or more games on the road since 2010-12.
UP NEXT
• BU will break from Patriot League play as it heads to New Hampshire on Wednesday, April 26 for its non-conference finale.
