UPDATED SATURDAY SCHEDULE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Boston University women's lightweight rowing team will compete at the 115th IRA National Championship Regatta beginning Saturday, June 3, on Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif. The Terriers will send three boats to compete for a national title over a two-day period in a field of eight schools.

The BU varsity eight boat is seeded No. 3 after winning the Dad Vail Regatta on May 13. The V8 will compete in its heat race on Saturday at 11:50 a.m. ET (8:50 a.m. PT) when they take on No. 2 Harvard, No. 6 Tulsa and No. 7 MIT. The top two boats of each V8 heat race advance directly to the grand finals on Sunday, while all other boats will try and advance by competing in the repechage on Saturday afternoon. The women's lightweight V8 grand final is scheduled for 2:40 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off a third-place performance at the Eastern Sprints, the Terriers' varsity four boat will compete in its heat race at noon ET against Stanford and Tulsa with only the heat winner advancing to the grand finals and all other heading to the repechage.

BU will also race in women's lightweight double competition that will race in a six-boat heat to determine lanes at 11:30 a.m. ET on Saturday. All six boats advance to the grand final which is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET on Sunday.

BU will look to build on last year's historic performance at the IRAs when they finished as national runner-up to Stanford in overall team points and won gold in the women's lightweight doubles grand final.
