SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Three Boston University track and field standouts -
Toria Levy,
Jamin Harris and
Paul Luevano - competed at the 2017 USATF Outdoor Championships hosted by Sacramento State this past weekend.
Levy, who graduated from BU in May, led the Terriers by advancing to the semifinals in the 400m hurdles, an event in which she was a USTFCCCA All-American during the 2017 outdoor season. Levy finished 11th in the semifinals with a time of 56.92 seconds.
Over a three-day period (June 22-24), runners were competing for a chance to represent the U.S. at the IAAF World Championships in London on August 4–13. The top three finishers in every race at the U.S. championships earned a trip to London.
At the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships, also held at Sacramento State, rising sophomore
Jamin Harris posted a time of 53.63 seconds in the first round of the 400m hurdles. Classmate
Paul Luevano finished seventh in the final of the 1,500m run thanks to a time of 3:57.63.
