Malcolm Doldron, participated in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria over the weekend.

"Coaching on the U23 team at the World Championship was an amazing experience," said Doldron after the competition. "The level of competition and intensity you encounter in international racing forces you to learn, adapt, and develop quickly and our lightweight women's quad and single raced accordingly. I'm proud of what we've accomplished at the U23s and look forward to continuing to help develop athletes for high level completion."
Â
Karr-Warner and Hagerman were victorious in the lightweight women's quadruple sculls competition at USRowing Women's U23 National Team Selection Camp on June 29 and punched their tickets to the U23s.
Â
Both Hagerman and Karr-Warner earned Lightweight All-American honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association in June. Karr-Warner received the award for the third-consecutive year while Hagerman was recognized for the second time.
Â
Karr-Warner and Hagerman were both members of the Terriers' varsity lightweight eight boat that advanced to the grand finals and finished second at the IRA National Championship Regatta on June 4 in Sacramento, Calif. With Hagerman in the stroke seat and Karr-Warner in the five seat, the Terriers defeated crews from Harvard, Wisconsin, Georgetown and Princeton in the grand finals to take home silver. Their performance helped the Terriers finish as national runner-up to Stanford for the second-consecutive year.
Â
Doldron is entering his sixth season as head coach of the Boston University women's lightweight rowing team. Named the lightweight rowing program's head coach in its inaugural season in June 2012, Doldron led the Terriers to the 2016 Eastern Sprints overall championship title and finished as National Runner-Up at the IRA National Championship Regatta in both 2016 and 2017.
