BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball team will return to the road as it treks to Bucknell for a 2 p.m. matchup on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Sojka Pavilion.

LAST TIME OUT

  • BU held a six-point advantage to start the fourth quarter, but saw its lead slip in the final minutes to Lafayette, falling by a final score of 47-45 Wednesday night at Case Gym.
  • Katie Nelson connected on at least three makes from beyond-the-arc for the 10th time this season and finished with a team-best 12 points, all from 3-point range.
  • Naiyah Thompson finished with 10 points, marking her fifth double-digit scoring performance of the season.
  • Nia Irving collected a team-best eight rebounds to go with seven points.
  • After shooting a combined 46.6 percent (14-for-30) in the first half, BU went cold from the floor, shooting just 21.4 percent (9-for-14) in the second half.

WILL POWER

  • Corrine Williams has reached double-digit scoring figures in three of the past four games and is averaging 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds during that stretch.
  • Williams has connected .545 percent from 3-point range, hitting six of her last 11 attempts.
  • Williams is also the most efficient player in the league from the free throw line, connecting on an .846 percent clip.

  • BU posted a 7-2 record when playing league opponents in the second matchup of the regular season series during the 2016-17 season.

SCOUTING LAFAYETTE

  • Bucknell has won its last two matchups and enters Saturday's matchup at 12-8 overall and 6-3 in conference play.
  • The Bison downed Navy, 47-39, on Wednesday night, holding the league's highest scoring offense to shot just 26.2 percent from the floor.
  • Kate Walker leads the Bison with 12.0 points per game and Kaitlyn Slagus follows with a 11.7 scoring clip.
  • Slagus leads the team with 8.2 rebounds per game.
  • The Bison lead the league in rebounding on both the offensive (40.7) and defensive end (32.1) and boasts the top rebounding margin (8.6).
  • Bucknell holds a 37-4 record at Sojka Pavilion over the last three seasons.

THE SERIES

  • BU won the series debut matchup in 2014, but has dropped the last eight contests against the Bison.
  • In the first matchup against the Bison this season Jan. 2, Vanessa Edgehill hit a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left that put the Terriers within one at 59-58, but Bucknell would close out the game from the free throw line to hand BU its first loss in conference play.
