BOSTON - The Boston University men's ice hockey team will look to come out on top in its home-and-home series with No. 13/14 Northeastern when it hosts the Huskies on Saturday (Nov. 3) at Agganis Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The crosstown rivals opened their series on Thursday at Matthews Arena and skated to a 5-5 draw. BU erased three different deficits (2-0, 3-2, 5-4) and found its offense after tallying just six goals over its first four games.
Five different Terriers scored on Thursday, including junior
Chad Krys, who potted his first goal of the season with 7:33 left in regulation on a power play to send the game to overtime.
The Terriers (0-4-1, 0-2-1 Hockey East) are entering their fourth game in a stretch of eight straight league contests and will be looking to snap a four-game winless streak (0-3-1) against the Huskies, their longest in the series since dropping eight straight from March 10, 1989, to Jan. 17, 1989
This will be the 236th meeting between the schools wih BU holding a 164-61-10 (.720) advantage, including wins in 12 of the past 18 meetings (12-4-2). BU is 14-7-2 (.652) in the teams' 23 meetings at Agganis Arena.
