BOSTON - For the fourth time in six seasons, the top-seeded Boston University women's soccer team will play for the Patriot League championship as it takes on Lehigh on Sunday, Nov. 2. First kick from Nickerson Field is scheduled for 2 p.m.

TO THE SHIP

  • Shannon Keefe posted a brace, with each scores coming from assists by Taylor Kofton, to guide BU to a 3-0 shutout against Army West Point in the semifinal round.
  • McKenna Kennedy also found the back of the net by converting on a penalty kick.
  • Morgan Messner posted four saves in net for her sixth shutout of the season.

TITLE CITY

  • BU is 8-2 all-time in the Patriot League Tournament.
  • The Terriers captured the league title in each of its first three seasons as a member of the Patriot League.
  • Additionally, BU has claimed three regular season conference titles and is hosting the tournament for the first time since 2015.

DEFENDING THE HOME TURF

  • BU has gone unbeaten in 49 straight home conference games.
  • The streak, which dates back to 2007, is the longest undefeated in home conference games active streak in the NCAA.

SETTING THE SCORE

  • BU posted an undefeated record in Patriot League games for the second time in program history with a 7-0-2 record.
  • With Saturday's win at Colgate, BU clinched the outright Patriot League regular season for the second time, and won its third conference regular season title.
  • In its 23 seasons competing within a conference, BU has posted nine undefeated regular seasons.
  • Of the 31 conferences in the NCAA, BU was one of 10 teams to post an undefeated record in league games.

PATRIOT LEAGUE DOMINANCE

  • BU has dominated the Patriot League since entering the league in 2013, amassing a 43-5-6 record in regular season conference games.

STUFFING THE STAT SHEET

  • Anna Heilferty leads the team in goals (5), assists (6), and points (16).
  • Heilferty has posted at least one point in six of the last 11 games.
  • Taylor Kofton has caught fire down the stretch, posting all 10 of her points over the last eight games.

THE LAST LINE

  • BU's backline has guided the defense to nine shutouts and limited opponents to just 0.95 goals per game.
  • The defense took it to the next level in conference play, limiting opponents to just 0.22 goals and 6.1 shots per game.

SHUT IT DOWN

  • All eight of BU's wins against conference opponents have been via shutout.
  • This marks the second straight season BU has shut out seven Patriot League opponents.
  • Over its six years in the Patriot League, the Terriers have 36 shutouts in conference play, posting at least five each season.

DUAL THREATS

  • Amanda Fay and Morgan Messner have split time in net this season, with each making 10 starts in net.
  • Messner was the lone goalkeeper in the league to not allow a goal during conference play.

LEADER OF THE PACK

  • Head Coach Nancy Feldman has been at the helm of the program since its inception in 1995.
  • Feldman has guided BU to 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 conference regular season titles, and 12 conference tournament titles.
  • Additionally, she has been an 11-time conference coach of the year.
  • In 31 seasons as a head coach, Feldman owns a career record of 399-168-56.
  • With one more win, Feldman would become the 20th women's soccer coach in NCAA history to reach 400 career wins.

SCOUTING LEHIGH

  • Lehigh continued its late-game magic, as Sabrina Mertz headed in the game-winning goal in the 90th minute to seal an upset of No. 2 Colgate, 2-1, Friday night.
  • Kayla Arestivo scored the golden goal with two seconds left in overtime in the Mountain Hawk's quarterfinal matchup against No. 4 Bucknell to steal a 2-1 win on Tuesday.
  • Each of Lehigh's last three wins have ended with a final score of 2-1, while its last five games have been one-goal decisions.
  • Lehigh opened its Patriot League slate with four straight loses, but turned its season around to qualify for its third straight Patriot League Tournament.
  • Arestivo and Mertz are tied for the team lead in goals (5) and points (12).
  • The pair also represented Lehigh on the All-Patriot League teams, as Arestivo earned First Team honors and Mertz was named to the Second Team.
  • Sam Miller has started the last eight games in net and lead the team with a 6-4-0 mark in frame to go with a 1.23 goals against average.

THE SERIES

  • BU holds the series lead at 4-0-2 and owns a 10-2 goal advantage.
  • Chelsea Churchill scored the game-winning goal in the 8th minute to guide the Terriers to a 1-0 shutout during the regular season matchup Sept. 22 at Nickerson Field.
  • The Terriers are 3-0-0 against the Mountain Hawks at Nickerson Field.
