The first 3,000 fans will receive the third button (Retro Speed Rhett) in Agganis Arena's six-button series.
Twelve of BU's previous 13 contests were in Hockey East play and the Terriers will both close the first half and begin their second half with non-conference games against the Big Green and Harvard (Jan. 8), respectively.
The Terriers and Big Green have played 78 times since first meeting in the 1925-26 season, and BU holds a 44-32-2 (.577) advantage. After putting together a nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1) against the Big Green, the Terriers have lost the past three meetings, including two at Agganis Arena. The teams last faced off on Thanksgiving weekend of 2014 with the Big Green posting a 2-0 shutout at Thompson Arena.
Dartmouth is one of only four teams in the country that currently has a win streak against the Terriers. Minnesota State and Denver have won their past four meetings with BU while the Big Green and Colorado College each have a three-game win streak versus the Terriers.
The Terriers are coming off a weekend split in a home-and-home series with UMass Lowell as each team was victorious on the road. After a 5-3 home loss, BU rebounded with a 5-2 victory in Lowell on Saturday. On Saturday, senior Bobo Carpenter and sophomore Shane Bowers each scored a pair of goals in the win while junior Patrick Curry had a career-high three points (1g, 2a), and junior Jake Oettinger made 40 saves
Dartmouth has one win in its past five contests (1-3-1) and was swept by New Hampshire in a home-and-home series last weekend. The Wildcats earned a 3-2 home win before posting a 4-0 victory in Hanover the following night.
The Big Green's wins this season have all come in ECAC play and the past three have been against teams that are currently in the USCHO top 20 (Quinnipiac, Yale, Cornell).
Junior Will Graber leads Dartmouth in points (9) and assists (6) while freshman Drew O'Connor and sophomore Quin Foreman are tied for the lead in goals with five and have contributed eight and seven points, respectively.
Junior goaltender Adrian Clark has started eight of Dartmouth's 10 games and has a .911 save percentage to go along with a 2.58 goals-against average.
Carpenter has nine goals this season for the Terriers and his second goal on Saturday in Lowell was a shorthanded game-winner. BU is now tied with Sacred Heart for the most shorthanded goals in the nation at five.
Junior defenseman Dante Fabbro continues to lead the Terriers in points this season with 13 on three goals and 10 assists while freshman Joel Farabee has added 10 points on three goals and seven assists.
Junior Jake Oettinger has a 1.99 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage over the past 10 contests.
