BOSTON - The Boston University women's lacrosse team will kick-off a four-game road swing as it heads north to UMass Lowell on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Game time is set for 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

  • BU fell to No. 4/6 Boston College, 18-6, in its season opener Saturday at Nickerson Field.
  • Kailey Conry led the Terriers with two goals and two assists.
  • Bianca Smith stopped a career-high 11 shots in net over the final 50 minutes of play.
  • Tonianne Magnelli collected a career-high four ground balls.
  • Kaitlin Belval followed with three ground balls and came up with a team-best four draw controls.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS

  • Entering its fourth season at the varsity level, the River Hawks ended their 2017 campaign with a program-best 7-9 mark and won its first America East game.
  • UMass Lowell returns all of its offensive production from last season, as all nine point scorers return.
  • Jane Dudley led UMass Lowell in assists (18) and points (34) last season.
  • Dudley's 34 points marked a single-season program record, while her nine career hat tricks also mark a River Hawk record.
  • Rebecca Idson led the team in scoring (19) and tied for second in points (26) with Taylor Sokok.
  • Courtney Barrett has started every game in net in program history and is a four-year team captain.
  • Barrett posted a career-best 10.73 goals against average and .449 save percentage a season ago.

THE SERIES

  • BU won the inaugural matchup last season, 13-7, at Nickerson Field.
  • The River Hawks held a 6-5 advantage at the half, but the Terriers stormed out of the break with a 7-1 run en route to the victory.
  • Avery Donahoe led the team with four points on two goals and two assists.
  • Sarah Andersen and Kelly Mathews also found the back of the net twice.

UP NEXT

  • BU won the inaugural matchup last season, 13-7, at Nickerson Field.
  • Opening draw against the Blue Devils is set for 1 p.m.
