BOSTON – The Boston University women's basketball team will honor its five-member class of 2018 as it welcomes Army West Point for Senior Day on Saturday, Feb. 24.

The Terriers will honor Sophie Beaudry, Meghan Doogan, Corrine Williams, Erin Bayram and Kara Sheftic before opening tip, which is scheduled for 2 p.m.

PATRIOT LEAGUE PICTURE

  • BU stands in a three-way tie for seventh place in the Patriot League standings with Holy Cross and Loyola Maryland.
  • The Terriers will close out the regular season at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday.
  • Lafayette stands one game above in sixth place, while Army West Point and Lehigh are tied for fourth place as each claims an 8-8 record.
  • American, Bucknell and Navy have all cinched home court advantage for the quarterfinal round.
  • BU can still finish as high as sixth place should it win out the rest of the regular season.

CARRYING THE LOAD

  • Nia Irving leads the Patriot League with a .508 field goal percentage also leads the league with a .547 shooting mark in conference games.
  • Irving has led BU in both scoring and rebounding in four of the last six games and 10 games overall this season.
  • The sophomore has shot above .600 percent in six Patriot League games, including four of the past six contests.
  • Irving has tallied double-digit scoring figures in each of the last six games and has three 20-point performances during that stretch.

SCOUTING ARMY WEST POINT

  • Army West Point has won four of its last five games to stand at 15-12 overall and 8-8 in Patriot League contests.
  • The Black Knights have clinched a first round bye in the conference tournament and are tied for fourth place with Lehigh.
  • Madison Hovren is one of three players in the league to average a double-double as she accounts for 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
  • Hovren and Janae McNeal have put up double-digit scoring figures in each of the last eight games, while Janae ranks third on the team in scoring (9.7) behind Aliyah Murray (10.5).
  • McNeal ranks sixth in the league in field goal percentage (.448) and leads the team in assists per game (2.6).
  • The Black Knights are last in the league in field goal percentage (.359) and 3-point field goal percentage (.250).

THE SERIES

  • BU has won two straight games against the Black Knights since 1982.
  • Nia Irving tallied a double-double with 22 rebounds and 14 points, while Payton Hauck set a new career-high with 23 points as BU escaped with a 60-59 victory in the first matchup on Dec. 29 in West Point.
