BOSTON – Looking to clinch a home game in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament, the Boston University women's basketball will close out the regular season at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.

PATRIOT LEAGUE PICTURE

  • BU sits in sole possession of ninth place with a 5-12 conference mark.
  • With a win, BU would clinch a home first round game.
  • With a loss, BU would be on the road for the entirety of the tournament.

SCOUTING LOYOLA MARYLAND

  • Loyola Maryland snapped its five-game win streak with a 58-40 win over Navy on Saturday to stand at 6-11 in conference play and 8-20 overall.
  • Izzy Therien is making a strong case for Patriot League Rookie of the Year as she leads the team and all rookies with 15.1 points per game and also averages 4.5 rebounds.
  • Therien picked up her second straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor on Monday and has garnered the weekly honor seven times this season.
  • Stephanie Karcz ranks second in the league with 10.5 rebounds rebounds per game and sixth with a 14.8 scoring average.
  • Karcz is one of three players in the league to average a double-double and ranks fifth in the NCAA with 3.64 steals per game.
  • Alexis Gray is the Greyhound's top threat from 3-point range, averaging 2.3 makes from deep, which ranks second among league leaders.

THE SERIES

  • BU has won the past three games to match its longest win streak in the series.
  • Five of the 10 matchups in the series have been decided by 10 points or less.
  • The Terriers won in convincing fashion in the first contest this season, cruising to a 75-56 victory on their home court Jan. 5.
  • BU shot 72.7 percent (8-for-11) in the third quarter, its highest shooting percentage in a single quarter this season.
