Promotion American Sign Language Night

BOSTON – Hosting the second-annual American Sign Language Night, the Boston University women's basketball will take the floor at Case Gym against Colgate on Wednesday, Feb. 7 for a 7 p.m. bout.

ASL NIGHT

  • Wednesday will mark the second year of American Sign Language night, the promotion is a collaboration between the Department of Athletics, the School of Education's Deaf Studies program and the Office of Disability Services.
  • The theme began last year as a result of several women's basketball student-athletes who were enrolled in ASL classes and wanted to create an annual event that celebrated diversity and inclusion within the BU community, as well as highlight their interests off the court – more specifically, their academic pursuits in the deaf studies program.
  • BU's marketing department won the gold medal in the category of Single Day Attendance Promotion from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).
  • Students, faculty and staff a part of the Programs in Deaf Studies can receive free admission to the game, click HERE for more details on ASL Night.
