Promotion Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night

BOSTON - The Boston University women's lacrosse team will close out its home schedule on Wednesday, April as it braces for a Turnpike Trophy matchup with Holy Cross. Opening draw from Nickerson Field is set for 7 p.m.

The game will serve as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, where BU faculty, staff and their guests can enjoy a free dinner and tickets, on the house. To register, visit GoTerriers.com/ThankYou.

TURNPIKE TROPHY

  • BU is leading this year's Turnpike Trophy series, 14-4.
  • The Terriers are undefeated against the Crusaders in spring sports, posting a 4-0 mark.
  • BU dominated with a 21-1 record in Turnpike Trophy games in 2016-17.
  • Since the series inception in 2015, BU holds a 55-9 all-time lead in Turnpike Trophy matchups.

LAST TIME OUT

  • BU used a stout defensive effort to top Bucknell, 9-6, on Saturday.
  • Maria Guerra caused four of Bucknell's 22 turnovers on the day and also led the Terriers with four ground balls.
  • Additionally, the defense held the Bison to convert on just 24 of their 32 clears, while Christine Laible tabbed her seventh double-digit save effort of the season with 10 stops in net. 

SCOUTING HOLY CROSS

  • Audrey Mandaro leads the league with 1.86 caused turnovers per game, while the Crusaders rank second in the league with 9.79 team caused turnovers per game.
  • Keely Connors lead the team in goals (30), points (31), and draw controls (58).
  • Connors is the first Crusader to reach the 30-goal mark since 2015.
  • Julia Maloney has started all 14 games in net for Holy Cross and holds a .433 save percentage and 12.59 goals against average.

THE SERIES

  • BU has dominated Holy Cross in the all-time series, holding a 9-1 command.
  • The Terriers hold a seven-game win streak dating back to 1997.
