TAMPA, Fla. –  Graduate student
David Oluwadara of the Boston University men's track & field team advanced to the NCAA Championship after finishing seventh in the triple jump at the NCAA East Regionals on Saturday.

Oluwadara finished with a leap of 16 meters ( 52'6") and was one of 12 qualifiers to come out of the East and move on to the NCAAs which will be held on June 6-9 in Eugene, Ore.

This was the fourth straight year that Oluwadara qualified for the NCAA East prelims in the triple jump and the first time he advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Oluwadara currently ranks 13th in the nation with his school-record mark of 16.21 meters (53' 2"), which he set on April 14th at the Auburn Tiger Classic.
Oluwadara was one of three members of the BU track & field teams to compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries in Tampa, Fla. over the weekend.
Sophomore
Paul Luevano competed in the quarterfinals of the 1500m run and finished 24th with a time of 3:58.88 but was unable to advance.

On Thursday, Luevano finished first in his preliminary heat with a time of 3:46.29, the eighth-fastest time of the day, to reach Saturday's quarterfinals.

Also competing for the Terriers this weekend, senior
Tehya Noell of the women's team competed in the 100m hurdles. Noell finished 43rd with a time of 13.73 seconds in her final collegiate race. She qualified for the NCAA prelims with her gold-medal performance at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships when she finished first with a personal-best time of 13.43 seconds.
