BOSTON – Riding a two-game unbeaten streak, the Boston University men's soccer team will continue its three-game road trip against Ivy League competition with a visit to Princeton on Saturday afternoon. The ESPN+ broadcast is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
The Terriers (1-2-2) are coming off a 2-2 come-from-behind draw at four-time defending Ivy League champion Dartmouth and a 3-2 win over defending Atlantic 10 champion UMass. The Tigers (2-3-0) will wrap up their three-game homestand that features a 1-0 loss to Monmouth and 2-1 victory over Temple.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU owns eight goals through five non-conference games this season after starting last year with five consecutive shutouts.
- Reigning two-time Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week Matt McDonnell recorded his sixth goal in four games at Dartmouth this past Tuesday to help ignite the late rally ... He has tallied 12 of the Terriers' 21 shot attempts.
- Reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week Kari Petursson is the lone Terrier to own a goal and an assist so far this season with sophomore Toti Knutsson recording a team-high three assists.
- Senior Mike Bernardi started his second game of the season at net against the Big Green and currently owns a 0.667 save percentage with a 1.80 goals against average ... Sophomore William Bonnelyche (0.533 save %, 2.17 GAA) has started the other three contests.

SCOUTING PRINCETON
- Selected to finish fourth in the Ivy League preseason poll, Princeton went 6-7-4 last season with a 4-4-1 home record.
- This year, the Tigers started with a 1-0 loss at SIU-Edwardsville and 2-1 defeat at Bradley before bouncing back with a 2-0 win at Delaware.
- Sean McSherry leads the Tigers with six points (2g, 2a), while Danny Hampton, Jeremy Colvin and Gaby Paniagua all own one goal apiece.
- Jacob Schachner hs played every second at net, posting a 0.688 save percentage and 0.98 goals against average with the one shutout against the Blue Hens.
SERIES HISTORY
- BU and Princeton are meeting for the fifth consecutive year with the Tigers owning a 2-0-2 record.
- Princeton won the last two meetings at home in 2015 and 2016, respectively, by an identical score of 2-1.
- The previous two contests at Nickerson Field ended in a draw with the Tigers rallying for a 2-2 draw in 2014 and BU striking late in 2017 for the 1-1 tie.
- Last season's contest was a physical one, as the teams combined for nine yellow cards.
