BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team will open up its Patriot League slate as it closes out a three-game road trip at American on Sunday, Sept. 16 at noon.

• West Virginia handed BU a 4-0 defeat Thursday night, scoring a pair of goals in each half.
• BU is 36-5-3 all-time in regular season Patriot League games.
• The Terriers are 3-2 in Patriot League openers and has never surrendered more than two goals in any league contest.
• BU has posted at least five clean sheets in each of its first five seasons in the Patriot League, and has amassed 28 league shutouts.
