BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming and diving team earned its first win of the season, using a fast start to power past Fordham, 154.5-125.5, Saturday afternoon at Competition Pool.
BU won three of the first four events, including sweeping the top three spots in the 1000 free and 100 back. The Terriers depth was on full display, picking up at least two of the top three finishes in 10 of 14 swimming events, while five different student-athletes recorded an individual victory.
Sarsen Whatmore captured a pair of first-place finishes, taking the 1000 free (9:33.64) and the 500 free (4:37.45).

Stuart Vickery (100 fly) and
Kyle Falkstrom (400 IM) also topped the podium.
The Terriers will return to the road at UMass on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m.
