October 6, 2019

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Freshman Kristen Min Ju Kim fired a final-round 69, the best round of her brief collegiate career, to lead the Boston University golf team at the Yale Intercollegiate, which concluded on Sunday at the Course at Yale.

Kim was two-under on Sunday thanks to four birdies, including three on the back nine. She played the final nine holes at three-under, closing her round with birdies on 16 and 18. Kim finished the weekend tied for 17th with a score of 221 (79-73-69), her best-ever 54-hole total as a Terrier.

After battling windy conditions during Friday's opening round, BU played its best golf as a team over the final two days and finished tied for 10th with a score of 905 (313-295-297).

Sophomore Hanako Kawasaki went 74-73 over the last two days to shoot 227 (80-74-73) while junior Katerina Doleckova carded a 73 of her own on Saturday to finish one shot back at 228 (78-73-77). Doleckova led the Terriers with seven birdies, sinking six over her last 36 holes. Seniors Abby Parsons (76-79-78) and Zhangcheng Guo (80-75-81) also competed this weekend while classmate Annie Sritragul (84-84-76) played as an individual.

BU will close out its fall schedule at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by the College of Charleston on Oct. 13, 14 and 15.
