BOSTON - Starting its Patriot League schedule with Lehigh for the second straight season, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will close out its three-game road trip on Saturday, March 16 against the Mountain Hawks. Opening draw from the Ulrich Sports Complex is set for 1 p.m. and can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • Squaring off against Temple for the first time in nearly two decades, BU outlasted the Owls, 12-9, Tuesday afternoon at Howarth Field.
  • Holding a four-goal lead at the start of the second half, Temple exploded for a 5-0 run to put the scoreboard in its favor with just under 16 minutes left to play.
  • Kaitlin Belval would not let the Terriers go down without a fight as she delivered back-to-back goals to knot the score at 9-all before Emily Vervlied netted what proved to be the game-winning goal with 4:32 remaining.​​​​​​
  • Kailey Conry ranks second in the NCAA with 3.71 assists per game, while her 5.29 points per game ranks ninth.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
  • The Mountain Hawks have won four of their last five to improve to 4-3 on the season.
  • Sondra Dickey tops Lehigh in goals (23), points (29), caused turnovers (14), draw controls (24) and is tied for the team lead in ground balls (14).
  • Hannah Cermack is the top assists provider with 14 and follows Dickey with 22 points.
  • Samantha Sagi has started all seven games in net.
  • Sagi ranks third in the league with 10.0 saves per game and has allowed just 10.42 goals per game.
THE SERIES
  • Lehigh outscored BU 11-1 in the first half of last season's matchup en route to handing the Terriers a 15-8 defeat to even the all-time series at 4-4.
  • The Mountain Hawks have won three of the last four games against the Terriers.
  • Four of the last three matchups have been decided by one goal, while four of the last eight have been decided by one goal as well.
  • BU will seek its first win at the Ulrich Sports Complex since 2015, where it won its last game in the series against Lehigh with an 8-5 decision.

UP NEXT

  • BU will have the second game of a Nickerson Field doubleheader on Saturday, March 23 against Lafayette at 4 p.m.
  • The men's team will open the day against the Leopards with a noon contest.
