BOSTON - Taking Nickerson Field for the first time in three weeks, the Boston University women's lacrosse team will host Lafayette on Saturday, March 23 at 4 p.m. Each of BU's next three games can be seen on the NESN networks, as Saturday's game will broadcasted live on NESNplus.

TERRIER TIDBITS

  • BU scored 12 of the final 14 goals as it doubled up Lehigh, 16-8, in its Patriot League opener in Bethlehem last Saturday.
  • With the win, BU is off to its first 5-3 start since the 2009 season.
  • Emily Vervlied and Kennady Smith were honored by the Patriot League as the Midfielder and Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday.
  • Vervlied registered five goals, one assist, four draw controls, four ground balls and five caused turnovers during BUs 2-0 week.
  • Smith made a career-high 17 saves against Temple and posted a .585 save percentage and 8.5 goals against average for the week.
  • Kailey Conry is tied for second in the NCAA with 3.5 assists per game, while her 5.13 points per game is tied for 10th.

  • Tonianne Magnelli (36), Kaitlin Belval (33) and Kelly Mathews (15) have been the dominant forces on the draw, combining for 84 of the team's 112 draw controls this season, good for 75.0 percent.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
  • Lafayette has lost each of its last three games by one goal, sending its record to 4-4 overall.
  • The Leopards fell 11-10 to Holy Cross in their Patriot League opener last Saturday and are coming off a 16-15 defeat to Rutgers on Tuesday.
  • Jane Kirby is the top offensive threat, leading the league with 27 goals and 3.38 goals per game, while her 4.0 points per game is tied for fourth among league leaders.
  • Emma Novick (17) and Hannah Davey (14) following in scoring, and Anna Stein is the top assist (14) provider.
  • Caroline Curnal and Davey have won the majority of the draw controls, as Curnal owns 35 to Davey's 30.
  • In net, Lacy Quinn owns the top save percentage in the Patriot League (.535) and saves per game (11.5) average.
THE SERIES
  • BU is a perfect 6-0 against Lafayette.
