CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Freshman Hanako Kawasaki of the Boston University golf team has been named Patriot League Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.

Kawasaki posted her second straight top-10 performance this past weekend at the Babs Steffens Invitational. She tied for eighth in a field of 71 with a 54-hole total of 225 (78-75-72), including an even-par 72 in Monday's final round. Kawasaki was the top Patriot League finisher in a tournament that also featured defending conference champion Richmond. 

A native of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Kawasaki has shined in her debut campaign with the Terriers. She has recorded three top-10 finishes in six appearances, including a victory at the Yale Intercollegiate in October. The Patriot League Golfer of the Month for October, Kawasaki owns a scoring average of 75.64 this year. She has only recorded a score of 80 or higher three times in 17 rounds.

BU will return to competition on Friday at the three-day, 54-hole Bryan National Collegiate hosted by Wake Forest in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
