GOLD RIVER, Calif. - The Boston University women's lightweight rowing team competed at the IRA Championship Regatta on Saturday, with all boats moving on to the grand finals.
 
Saturday's competition was for lane assignments only and all three of BU's boats will race for a national championship on Sunday. You can watch a live stream of Sunday's races by clicking HERE

VARSITY EIGHT HEAT RACE FOR LANES
The No. 3 seeded varsity eight, coxed by Katie Barnett and stroked by Janice Hagerman, finished third in their morning heat race for lanes, finishing with a time of 6:29.23. The V8 will race in the grand final for a national championship on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. ET.

VARSITY FOUR HEAT RACE FOR LANES
The varsity four, coxed by Antonella Kugler and stroked by Tamara Gelfman finished second in its morning heat race, finishing behind winner Stanford with a time of 7:19.01.

VARSITY 2X HEAT RACE FOR LANES
In the first race of the day on Saturday, the varsity 2x of Catharine Griskowitz and Grace Beery got things started on a winning note for the Terriers by winning its heat race for lanes. BU trailed early but pulled ahead of leader Stanford and cruised to victory with a time of 7:49.64.
