CENTRE VALLEY, Pa. - A program-record 10 members of the Boston University women's basketball team were named to the 2019 spring Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference Monday.
Ashley Sieper,
Lauren Spearman and
Naiyah Thompson highlighted the list as each posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. BU was the lone women's basketball team to have three student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA during the winter/spring semester.
Of the 93 student-athletes, Lehigh led the League with 15 honorees followed by American and Loyola Maryland with 12 student-athletes each. BU and Bucknell each placed 10 on the list, followed by Colgate and Lafayette with nine apiece. Navy added six on the list, while Army West Point and Holy Cross both had five representatives.
To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
