BOSTON - Six members of the Boston University women's ice hockey team were selected as All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association, as announced on Tuesday.

Deziray De Sousa, Mary Grace Kelley, Breanna Scarpaci, Corinne Schroeder, Abbey Stanley and Natasza Tarnowski all received the recognition, which is given to a player that has recorded a 3.6 grade-point average in each semester and has also played in at least 40% of their team's games.

This is the second straight year that BU has placed six student-athletes on this list, with De Sousa and Scarpaci as the Terriers' two repeat honorees. All six skaters were also named to the 2018-19 Hockey East All-Academic Team earlier this month. Kelley, a Hockey East Distinguished Scholar, graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences in May with a degree in biology.
