- BU opened the new season with a 1-0 loss at defending America East champion New Hampshire on Thursday night after the Wildcats struck first in the 23rd minute.
- One of four to earn a start for the first time as a Terrier, junior goalkeeper Michael Stone recorded 10 saves.
- Named one of three captains alongside senior Satchel Cortet and sophomore Kari Petursson, senior Matt McDonnell nearly headed in the equalizer late in the first half but the UNH keeper was perfectly positioned for the save.
- McDonnell earned BU's first hat trick in a decade last year at Boston College for the 3-3 draw and had six goals through five games before suffering a season-ending injury at Dartmouth.
- Highlighted by a 3-2 victory over defending Atlantic 10 champion UMass and 2-1 OT Senior Day win over Bucknell, the Terriers went 4-5-1 at home last season.

- BC opened the 2019 campaign with a 2-0 home win over Quinnipiac on Thursday.
- Adam French struck first in the ninth minute on an assist by Lasse Lehmann, and Amos Shapiro-Thompson followed up with a strike in the 77th minute.
- Freshman Giacomo Piccardo needed just three saves for the shutout, as the Eagles posted a 15-10 advantage in shot attempts.
SERIES HISTORY
- BC leads the all-time series, 27-18-9, following last year's 3-3 draw in Newton.
- In the last Terrier Tailgate matchup at Nickerson Field in 2015, the Eagles used an 80th minute goal to escape with the 3-2 victory.
- The Terriers have dropped their last nine home meetings in the series with seven of the matchups being decided by one goal, including an OT heartbreaker in 2013 that was part of the last Terrier Tailgate doubleheader.
