BOSTON – Opening a five-game road trip, the Boston University men's soccer team will visit UMass Lowell on Saturday with action set to begin at 7 p.m.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- In its last game, BU posted a 22-12 advantage in shot attempts but came up short to Merrimack, 3-0, on Tuesday night at Nickerson Field.
- The Terriers are 0-2 on the road this year following 1-0 loss at defending America East champion New Hampshire and UMass.
- Opponents are averaging 14.0 shots per game while limiting the Terriers to 11.5 per game while posting a slight 19-18 advantage in corner kicks.
- Senior Matt McDonnell has tallied a team-high 16 shots and eight on goal with sophomore Kari Petursson next at nine and three, respectively.
- Freshman defender Florian Rieder and junior goalkeeper Michael Stone are the only two Terriers to play every minute so far with McDonnell seven minutes off.

SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
- The River Hawks opened the season with a 4-0 loss at Providence and most recently dropped a 2-1 home decision to Northeastern.
- In-between the two games, UMass Lowell posted a 2-2 draw at home to Quinnipiac and a 2-1 victory at Holy Cross.
- Last year, UML went 10-6-2 with an 8-1-0 home mark and lost at eventual America East champion New Hampshire in the AE semifinals.
- Stanley Alves leads the River Hawks with two goals and five points, while both Renato Kauzlaric and Denis Petro own two assists apiece.
- Goalkeeper Patrik Gujic owns a 2.20 goals against average and 0.471 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Terriers lead the all-time series, 4-3, and are meeting the River Hawks for the fourth time in five years.
- UML has won the last two years with an identical 2-0 decision after BU pulled out a 1-0 victory in 2015 en route to the NCAA tournament.
