BOSTON - Following earning its first win of the season in dramatic fashion, the Boston University women's soccer team will return to Nickerson Field on Sunday, Sept. 15 for a 2 p.m. bout against Rhode Island.
The matchup is part of BU Athletics' second annual Pride Week, celebrating the LGBTQA+ community on campus. BU Pride decals will be available to fans while supplies last.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- Geo Pereira netted her first career goal in the 102nd minute Thursday night against Northeastern, lifting the Terriers to a 1-0 victory.
- Morgan Messner recorded her second double overtime shutout of the season, making six saves.
- Messner and Amanda Fay have rotated starts in net, while each has made at least six saves in each of the last four games.
- The Terrier defense locked in on the Huskies attack over the final 57 minutes of play, limiting them to eight shots after fending off nine shots in the first half.
- BU has used a different starting lineup and has used at least eight substitutions in all seven games.
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
