BOSTON - Coming off back-to-back late-game wins, the Boston University women's soccer team will look to maintain its momentum as it opens up Patriot League play against American on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m.
As part of Boston University's Alumni Weekend, the Terriers will honor all alumnae and staff from its 25-year history during halftime, where there will be a special recognition of the 2000 America East championship team, BU's first conference championship squad.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- Sophia Woodland headed in her first career goal in the 82nd minute against Rhode Island on Sunday, lifting the Terriers to their second straight 1-0 shutout.
- Geovanna Pereira was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after delivering the double overtime golden goal against Northeastern.
- BU has shown its tendency for late-game heroics, as three of BU's four goals on the season have been scored in the second half.Â
- Furthermore, all four goals have been scored by underclassmen, with the two game-winners coming from freshmen Woodland and Pereira.
