- BU is coming off a heartbreaking loss Sunday in its home opener against Michigan State, falling 2-1 in double overtime.
- The Terriers have now recorded two double overtime games over their first four games to start the season for the first time in its 25-year program history.
- Taylor Kofton delivered the first Terrier goal of the season in the 48th minute, but the Spartans countered with the equalizer in the 85th minute to force extra time.
- Following a scoreless first period of overtime, Michigan State scored on a breakaway six minutes into the second frame of overtime to steal the win.
- Amanda Fay and Morgan Messner have split time in net, with Fay holding a .778 save percentage, while Messner owns a 1.35 goals against average.
- Anna Heilferty and McKenna Kennedy lead the team with 329 minutes played apiece.
- The Tigers are coming off a 2-1 loss to Boston College on Sunday to even its record to 1-1.
- Caroline Noonan delivered Princeton's lone goal against the Eagles, while Grace Sherman delivered the game-winning goal in their season opener at Saint Joseph's.
- Princeton has captured the last two Ivy League titles and was selected to three-peat in the Ivy League Preseason Poll.
- Furthermore, the Tigers return seven All-Ivy League honorees and six of seven goal scorers from a season ago.
- Princeton holds the all-time series lead, 6-2-2, and took the last matchup 1-0 last September.
- BU outshot the Tigers, 12-7, but Princeton delivered the lone score of the game in the 52nd minute.
- Three of the first six contests ended in a double-overtime draw.
- BU will play its fifth road game over a six-game stretch on Sunday, Sept. 8 at UConn.
